Care in the community
We walk life’s journey with our members. This means we share both the celebrations and the challenges. Rabbi Rebecca will offer 121 advice and guidance at difficult times, but we also provide community support in different spaces.
When life is challenging
We have a team who will be in touch to offer informal conversations and a friendly face if you’re having a hard time. Please do get in touch with Beverley on beverley@fps.org if you’d like some support, or if you’d be interested in joining the team.
LiFTs
To bring little moments of joy, we sometimes give a LiFT (Little Festival Tokens) - homemade packages, made and delivered by members to folks who need them. From latkes to cheesecake, cards to cake – you never know when FPS might give you a LiFT! Sometimes it’ll be to say thank you, sometimes so you know we’re thinking of you at a difficult time, and sometimes to bring a moment of interaction and excitement to members who would otherwise be celebrating festivals alone. The team behind this usually plan these incredible offerings at Rosh Hashanah, Chanukah and Pesach.
Monday Afternoon Club
We hold Monday Afternoon Club on the last monday of every month from 3-5pm. A small, informal gathering, MAC is a place to catch up with friends, make new friends, and enjoy good cake.
If you’d like to particiate in any of these events, or would like to support the running of them, please get in touch with our Care Co-Ordinator, Beverley, on beverley@fps.org, or phone the office on 020 8446 4063.
